Need an instructor?
Many Leaders in Clwyd hold activity authorisations, but they've mostly got them so they can take their own Scouts on activities and it's not really fair to expect them to continually run activities for others.
However in some cases permit holders may be happy to allow other Leaders to accompany them on activities to build up their own experience, or may have spaces on an activity they are running for other Scouts. In some cases they may even be willing to run an activity for someone elses Section, sometimes just to keep their own log book up to date.
If you're interested in a certain activity and would like to find out who holds a permit, contact us, and we'll put you in touch.
Activity Permits Scheme
Mike Dawson is the Manager Activity Permit Scheme or MAPS for Clwyd. Mike's main role is to manage the availability of permit assessments within the Area, supporting activity Assessors and those applying for permits alike. Contact Mike: activities@clwydscouts.org.uk.
Let us know if you know of any other activity providers, or places to go, things to do, commercial or otherwise, that would be suitable for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers or Network.
