Flintshire and Vale of Clwyd Scouts make a splash.
Over 100 Scouts from Flintshire and the Vale of Clwyd recently joined together to take part in their annual Swimming Gala. The gala, which took place at Hollywell swimming pool is always an enjoyable event for the Scouts, and brings out a friendly Rivalry between the different groups.
Penyfford Scout Steffan Shickell said I've had a great time tonight, even though we didn't win. I've got some friends in different groups so it was fun racing against them
This year had the most participants the gala has seen for many years, making the competition closer than ever. The points between first, second and third place were very close but the overall winners were 2nd Rhyl Scouts, who also won the Vale Of Clwyd trophy, the Flintshire Trophy went to Bistre Scouts who came 2nd overall.
Scout leader Sue Randle said I cant remember the last time we had so many Scouts here, Its really great to see so many scouts all in one place and having fun, it's what scouting is about.
