Cubs from Flintshire have been getting creative at their annual District Creative Challenge.

 

The event takes place every year on the Saturday closest to Founder's Day, the anniversary of the birth of Scouting's founder, Baden-Powell.

 

Cubs have the opportunity to enter three categories: picture, model, and this year acrostic poem. The packs then have to chose the 1st of each category and each age. They can do this however they want, get leaders to vote or bring someone in to judge them - even use it has a fundrasier if they want.

 

The winning group from previous chooses the theme for the next year. Treffynnon cyntaf won last year and chose space as the theme for this year.

 

The 1st of each category of each age, goes through to the District final,
where judges pick the top three of each category and age, and then an overall winner.

 

This year packs from Bistre, Halkyn, Hawarden, Mynydd isa, Northop hall, and Broughton took part in the event with Mynydd Isa wining the trophy.
