DofE changes


If you're running the Duke of Edinburgh's Award you will hopefully know about recent changes to how things are done. If not, read on...!

 

 

Clwyd currently doesn't have an Area DofE Advisor. Until we recruit one, please address any questions to your District Explorer Scout Commissioner or the Area Commissioner at areacommissioner@clwydscouts.org.uk

 

Alison Owen-Yeates is the ScoutsWales DofE Advisor.

 

The main changes to the running of the Award are that all new applications to start the Award, or start a new level, must be via the official Enrolment form, and that an Expedition Notification form must be sent in for all expeditions.

 

Enrolment forms will usually be sent to Jane Churchill at the ScoutsWales Office, but until the back-log is cleared, please can people send them to Eric. Expedition Notification forms should always be sent to your DESC or the AC, at least 4 weeks before the expedition, and that they must be accompanied with a route card or route tracing.
