Nights Away

Here's an easy way to let your District Commissioner or their appointee know when you're off on camp, sleepover or whatever that involves young people spending a night away from home. A lot easier than printing off forms, filling them in and posting!

Welcome to the Adventure!

What do you as a Leader give to parents and carers of new Members when they join?

Here's something that 1st Rhosnessney Scouts give out which gives all the information that is needed, in an attractive format.

Programme Resources

These resources have been made by Leaders for certain programme activities and made available here for everyone to use. If you have created a Powerpoint presentation or other resource that works well, please email us with the details.

Some of the files are 'zipped' up, you'll need a free programme to uncompress them (lots of computers already have this), and some need the free Powerpoint viewer or Powerpoint to view them.

Challenge Record Cards

Now that we have a balanced driven programme, it is easy to be unaware of how many badge requirements our Members are completing by just taking part in the programme! The badge requirements are quite clearly laid out in the Essentials books, but I felt that there was a gap in the resources for a record of how each Scout was doing in their Challenge badges.

So, I produced a card for each of the 8 Scout Challenges. I've found them so useful that I've done some for the Beaver Scout and Cub Scout Challenges too. Here they are for you to use. Just print them out on paper - or card if you've got it - each sheet has space for 20 Scouts.

All you do is, now and again, check the requirements of each Challenge with the activities you've been doing as part of your balanced programme, and tick them off against the Scout if he or she took part in the activities. If they've got enough ticks, they've completed the Challenge!
