Autumn Beavers - Teamwork!!
Tonight's meeting involved the Beavers working together as part of a team to put up a tent. There was a little competition but it ended in a draw!!! ( although I'm sure Fern and Lily's team actually did win ;0) ! We then had two investures and one goodbye :( One of our Beavers has now moved up to Cubs, so we all wish him luck and lots and lots of fun !
Also any parents who are aware of any friends/family who have boys or girls that would like to join our group, we now have places!! Be quick though as I'm sure they wont last long!!
Another quick reminder that next week we are meeting at Acton Park for a picnic and if you haven't already done so, please, please remember your permission slips otherwise you will not be able to stay!! Keep safe guys, see you all next week :)

Autumn Beavers Crazy Craft!!
Tonight's meeting was all about craft! We did some Easter eggs, bunnies and chicks as well as giving the Beavers some freedom to be creative! The Beavers created some crazy collages and some really amazing artwork, some of which is displayed proudly on our section wall! Sadly there will be no Beavers next Wednesday but this is because of the St George's Day celebration that is being held Friday evening at Glyndwr!! I'm certain they will have a fantastic time! Finally I would just like to wish all the Beavers and Leaders a very Happy Easter, stay safe and see you all when we get back!!!

Busy,Busy,Busy!!
Over the past few meetings the Beavers have investigated lots of things to do with water! They have been testing what objects float and sink and also waterproof materials!! They really enjoyed themselves and managed to stay quite dry!!!
At last weeks meeting we made badges, and a big thanks goes out to Faye for coming to help!! The Beavers also made beautiful Mothers Day cards and a little treat for their lovely mums!!

Autumn Beavers go green fingered!!
Tonight's meeting saw the Beavers planting a variety of flowers to welcome the spring! It was a bit of a messy session, lots of compost everywhere but some of our Beavers came to the rescue with brushes and a dustpan!! Thanks Guys!! We then played a quick game before it was time to do the closing ceremony!!
Next week we are all going to be scientific investigators, but I shall say no more for now as I don't want to spoil the surprise!!!

Summer Beavers Pancake Day
We had a fun evening of pancakes last night starting with a Pancake race using frisbee and tennis racket instead of a pancake and frying pan.
The 2 teams had to head down the course weaving between cones before turning around and heading back whilst trying to toss and catch the pancake. In great Beaver tradition after 2 races each team had won one each!
Whist we were playing games Daffodil and Rose had been busy in the kitchen making the pancakes. So after a couple more games it was time to sit down and eat, they were lovely too.
Bluebell was very impressed how smart all the Beavers looked in their new uniforms, if you missed the investitures there are some great photos here.

They made cakes and spent time getting to know each other! On behalf of all the leaders, new and old, we would like to say a massive welcome to you all and hope you enjoy your time with us.
Wednesday's group made paper aeroplanes. We were going to have a competition but unfortunately they spent so much time making the best paper aeroplanes I have ever seen, the competition is going to take place at the end of one of sessions over the next coming weeks!!

Welcome back!!
Tonight's meeting was all about listening to the Beaver's wonderful tales of Christmas!! They were really spoilt by Father Christmas, so we know we have some great Beavers i our group!!
We also talked about what kinds of things we'll be doing in the forthcoming programme and this week the Beavers had a little bit of homework! Once a term we are now going to hand the planning of an evening's events over to the Beavers!! So we have asked them to have a big think over the next week and come back with some ideas of what they would like to do one meeting!! I really cant wait to see what they come up with!!
