25/01/2012 Carboard wars and Caveing
Tonight the cubs had heaps of fun, making forts, and trying to protect them whist ruing the others. whilst the where playing this, fraser and jordan where making a cave using cardboard and tables in the kitchen, which went down a storm with the cubs, although they got abit wet they all wanted to go again. Also we said goodbye to luke for most of the year tonight who im sure the cubs will miss.

Tonight the cubs where tought about the difference between needing something and wanting something. The night started with a active game which had the cubs running round having lots of fun, then Luke gave a talk about needing and wanting, explaining about how the less fortunate people in third world countries dont get a choice when it come to needing and wanting. After the talk the cubs had to choise a side of the hut to go to, one side named WANT and the other side NEED and when words where read out e.g. MP3 player, the cubs had to go to the side they thought right. After that, the cubs split in to there sixes and drew round one cub of each six, dress the drawing then on two of the teplates that where good write on the body parts, what good things they do and the other two, 'the bad ones' write on the bad things the bodyparts do. They were very good. WELL DONE CUBS!!!

Cosford museum visit 30/10/11
The cubs got the train to Cosford on Sunday morning, for some it was the first time they had been on a train. They spent the day in RAF Cosford museum looking at planes, interacting with scientific games and having a go on a flight simulator ride. A good day was had by all.

Astronomer badge 19/10/11
The cubs did some more work on the astronomer badge tonight making constellation telescopes.

Faiths night 12/10/11
Tonight we completed what we had started on the previous Faiths night. Cubs also reflected on their own faith and sung their favourite hymn - Autumn Leaves.

Various activies 05/10/11
The cubs have been planning activities for a night where they must run the whole night by themselves. They also brushed up on some skills such as fire lighting and constructed a good deed diary.

Mini Chefs cook off night 28/09/11
Tonight the cubs cooked various items in a competitive cook off. Much fun and chaos was had.

Tonight we had a quiz and games night finished with the cubs favourite game 'Shoe game' (Trying to find their shoes in the dark)

Water activities - Summer camp 08-10/07/11
What a blast! This camp was fun fun fun & action packed from the start. Rafting, bell boating, kayaking, orienteering, camp fires, camping in the woods :-)

Day Hike 03/07/11
We started the day at the Ponsomby Arms PH, we then walked along the canal to Vale Crusis Abbey. From there we walked through the countryside up to Dinas Bran and back down again into the town.

Open fire cooking!
Tonight the cubs made, cooked & ate toffee apples, chocolate bananas and bread twists! Many of the cubs enjoyed cooking and trying open fire food :)

Athletics 2 - 21/06/11
Today the cubs did the second part towards their athletics badge!
The cubs did two activities which involved skipping, where the cubs were timed on how fast they could do three laps, and also standing long jump where the cubs had to stand along a line and see how far they could jump which was then measured!
This Saturday is the cub fun day in builth wells! :)

Fishing Night 14/06/2011
Tonight we took the Cubs fishing to a private pond in Rosset. They managed to catch quite a few fish to their and our suprise! A good time was had by all and a few new skills were picked up along the way. A letter was given out tonight for the summer camp and a day hike both in July.
